Luxury Hotels

Our impressive portfolio of properties is selected to enhance the Scenic Tours experience. We select hotels according to three rigid criteria: their central location or unique position and character; their level of excellence and their world-class standard and service. Every property is the best available in each region. We include leisurely two night stays in many locations so you can relax and really immerse yourself in the destination

There is no other destination in the world where the hotels are such an integral part of the touring experience as they are in Canada. And there is no other company than Scenic Tours, who feature so many iconic Fairmont Hotels in both Western and Eastern Canada - many of which are exclusive to Scenic Tours.

The majestic Fairmont Empress Hotel rises regally on the banks of Victoria's inner Harbour with her grandeur of a bygone era. The place where the Queen of England would stay, when visiting Canada, the Empress Hotel retains all of its old world charm with antique furniture and opulent décor. Whilst others come to visit and photograph this famous hotel, Scenic Tours guests exclusively spend two nights within this jewel of the Pacific.

The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is splendidly isolated amidst alpine lakes, mountain glaciers and majestic forests. Herds of elk grazing are often the welcoming committee at this superb resort, which captures the essence of the remote Canadian wilderness in all its glory. Old World elegance blends harmoniously with contemporary amenities in the variety of stylish cedar chalets and heritage log cabins.
The undisputed king of the hill, the famous Fairmont Chateau Whistler resort carries on the Fairmont tradition of Canadian mountain retreats.

A diamond in the wilderness, The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is enveloped by some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world. The sheer beauty of the glistening glaciers, snow covered peaks and frozen lakes create a dramatic setting of unparalleled mystique. The Chateau's elegant décor has a European ambience, where no expense was spared.

Few hotels in the world can rival the majesty, hospitality and scenery of The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. Its unique blend of opulence and seclusion has been a symbol of Rocky Mountain magnificence for more than a century. An enormous castle straight out of medieval lore, The Fairmont Banff Springs offers stunning vistas.

Just as awe-inspiring on Canada’s East Coast is The Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac. Standing high on a bluff overlooking the mighty St Lawrence River, not only located in the heart of Old Quebec - but it is the heart of Old Quebec. This impressive hotel is also exclusive to Scenic Tours.

These distinctive and impressive surroundings are hallmarks of every Hotel and Resort. Yet beyond the idyllic locations, you will experience Fairmont's century-long tradition of excellence in service and elegance in hospitality. These properties have defined luxury for over a century and have become international landmarks in the process. Please refer to itineraries for featured Fairmont Hotels.

ALASKAN LUXURIOUS CRUISES

Most of Alaska's beauty can be found along its grand coastline, as such there is no better way to view Alaska's stunning glacial fjords and scenery than from the vantage point of a luxurious floating resort. Wrap around promenade decks allow uncrowded viewing of some of the world's most unforgettable scenery. Full time naturalists on board will help you spot the fascinating local wildlife which is abundant in this area. Whales breaching are a common sight from April to November as approximately 600 humpback whales migrate north to Alaska from the northern Inside Passage.

See the soul of Alaska by venturing beyond the fortress-like glacier walls and discover the many facets of this exciting destination, including its beautiful ports of call, treasured national parks, and diverse wildlife. It won't take long to discover why this is so popular among both locals and visitors alike.

Inside Passage or Gulf of Alaska Cruise.

Depending on which tour you select, Scenic Tours guests have the choice of taking a 7 night roundtrip cruise through the Inside Passage or continuing north on a Gulf of Alaska cruise to Whittier near Anchorage.
The Inside Passage is a winding water route of ever-changing natural beauty which stretches almost 1000 miles from the southern end of British Columbia to Skagway in Alaska. This seven night journey, cruises north through the Passage and stops at numerous picturesque ports-of-call including Ketchikan, Juneau and Skagway. The highlight of the journey however, will be cruising through Alaska’s spectacular glacial fjords. Depending on your cruise ship, you’ll visit either magnificent Glacier Bay, where sixteen dazzling tidewater glaciers flow down to the bay from mountain ranges like rivers, or visit breathtaking Tracy Arm, a narrow 42 kilometres winding fjord which is lined with stunning sheer ice carved walls, rising thousands of feet each side.

Alternatively, our second cruise follows the same Inside Passage route to Skagway, then continues north through the spectacular Gulf of Alaska onboard Princess Cruise Lines – Alaska’s newest fleet. Enroute you’ll visit Prince William Sound which boasts the largest concentration of tidewater glaciers - a type famous for calving off huge pieces of ice. Cruise through glacier-carved fjords draped with cascading waterfalls and perhaps catch one of nature's most dramatic sights: a house-sized block of ice shearing off a tidewater glacier and crashing into the ocean before your very eyes! You may also see abundant wildlife, including bald eagles, seabirds, otters, and occasionally whales. This magnificent journey concludes in Whittier on the shores of the Kenai Peninsula. Emerald green valleys, waterfalls and wildlife, glaciers and totem poles, cruising to Alaska will be a totally wonderful experience.

Holland America or Princess Cruises.

Scenic Tours offers you the choice of travelling with two premier cruise lines. Choose either Holland America Line's Glacier Bay Cruise or Princess Cruise's on the grand Dawn Princess; or Voyage of the Glaciers from Whittier to Vancouver. Both cruise lines are well renowned for their luxury, superior service and extensive onboard facilities. You can be assured of First Class service all the way.
