WHAT TO WEAR: In the summer, pack lightweight clothing with warmer items for the cool evenings. Warm clothes, including a heavy coat and boots, are recommended during winter. Bring rain gear year-round.

OTHER FACTS: As a gesture of friendship to Václav Havel, the Rolling Stones have arranged that Prague Castle be illuminated every night. Cecke budejovice (Budweis) is the home of Budvar, or Budweiser, beer. At the Old Jewish Cemetery in Prague there are more than 12,000 tombstones, some dating back to 1439.
OTHER THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND: There are no major health or safety risks, but pickpocketing is somewhat common in Prague.
ATM & BANK INFO: U.S. traveller's cheques are advised. In major cities, most major credit cards are accepted. ATMs are available for the most part in the cities as well. Banking hours are 8:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday.
LOCAL TIPPING: Hotel and restaurant bills are all-inclusive. However, tips are much appreciated. Porters should get 5 crowns per piece of luggage. Tip taxi drivers 10%.
